There's been a lot of arson during the past few months in our neck-of-the-woods. Scary. This fire on Saratoga St was dreadfully frightening and our entire apartment was covered in thick, black smoke. KNOBBYKNEEz on Flickr: Posted a Photo

I visited the wonderful Roger Williams Park Botanical Center in Providence R.i. and took this capture of a beautiful orchard this past spring .
Info:
The Roger Williams Park Botanical Center opened in March 2007. Voted the “Best Urban Oasis” by the 2007 Editor’s Poll in Rhode Island Monthly magazine, it is the largest public indoor display gardens in New England encompassing approximately 12,000 square feet of indoor gardens. During a visit to the Botanical Center, relax by a waterfall, enjoy the wonderful fragrance of flowers from around the world, take a child on a scavenger hunt or bring a camera or sketch pad! Our displays change during the year so please come back to see something new!
The City has entered into an agreement with the University of Rhode Island’s College of the Environment and Life Sciences to provide horticultural and environmental programs at the Botanical Center. Each fall and spring, the College of the Environment and Life Sciences Outreach Center at the Roger Williams Botanical Center (CELS Outreach Center) has an interesting and varied set of class offerings.
Adding to our wonderful indoor gardens, construction of outdoor gardens will begin in 2008.
